Our Queer Campout Weekend is a dedicated space for the LGBTQ+ community and allies to gather and grow with each other. With a focus on queer joy and community resilience, we’ve curated a weekend that balances relaxation with supportive connection.

This is a fully inclusive, sliding-scale event—we’ve handled the logistics (campsite, food, and activities for all energy levels) so you can focus on your journey.

Join us for crafting, walking, dancing, and even a personal professional photography session, alongside a Saturday night DJ dance party under the stars.

Let’s take up space in the outdoors together.

qUESTIONS & Registration

Still have questions? Reach out anytime.

If you’re feeling ready, go ahead and register.

Day Passes Available

Not ready for a full overnight stay? We offer Day Passes for those who want to join the community for one or both full days without overnight accommodations. Your pass includes full access to the campground from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, covering all scheduled activities and meals provided during those hours.

  • When we say all-inclusive, we mean it! Your registration covers every aspect of the weekend so you can focus on connecting and having fun.

    • Your Home Base: Access to the Mt. Hood RV Village campground, featuring full amenities like power, water, clean toilets, hot showers, hot tub and sauna.

    • Fuel & Refreshments: All meals, snacks, and beverages are provided from Friday night through Sunday morning.

    • The Journey: transportation to and from the campground from Friday evening until Sunday morning is included.

    • The Fun: All activities and supplies are covered—from crafting and yoga to our DJ dance party and even a personal photography session to remember the weekend!

  • We want our campout to be accessible to as many members of our community as possible. To make this happen, we use a "pay-what-you-can" sliding scale model. Please choose the tier that best reflects your current financial situation:

    • $300 | Supportive Level This tier is intended for community members who are currently experiencing financial hardship or have limited disposable income. Selecting this level allows you to join the magic with a bit of community assistance.

    • $400 | Sustainer Level This represents the "true cost" of the campout. It covers your campsite, all-inclusive meals, transportation, and all activities. If you are financially stable, this is the best place to start.

    • $500 | Sponsor Level For those who have a bit of "extra" in their budget this month! Choosing this tier directly subsidizes a Supportive Level ticket for a fellow camper, ensuring our community remains diverse and accessible to all.

  • Once your registration is complete, keep an eye on your inbox for a "Next Steps" email! This will include a required Google Form to help us finalize logistics, along with a comprehensive preparation guide and packing list to ensure you’re ready for the weekend. We'll make sure you have all the details you need to arrive feeling prepared and excited!

  • Please note that individual camping gear is not provided by default, so we encourage you to bring your own essentials. However, if you're missing something, you'll have the opportunity to request specific items through the Google Form sent after registration. We maintain a stash of extra gear and supplies available upon request to ensure everyone can camp comfortably!

  • Media Policy

    • Personal Use Only: You are free to take photos for your own memories! However, general professional photography is prohibited.

    • Official Documentarians: You’ll see our authorized media team around. They are here to capture official photos and videos of the programs.

    • Consent by Entry: By joining us at the Event, you agree that your likeness or voice may be captured in these official recordings.

    • Our Use of Media: Camp Pride may use these images/recordings to promote future events.

    • Liability: By entering, you release Wander Free and Queer and its team from liability regarding the use and publication of these official images.

  • To ensure our campout is a safe and welcoming environment for everyone—including those in recovery and those who choose a sober lifestyle—this is a strictly substance-free event. We believe in cultivating queer joy through genuine connection and shared experience, without the need for alcohol or drugs. We invite you to join us in creating a space where everyone can be fully present with one another and the natural beauty of Mt. Hood.

  • We have a ZERO tolerance for bullying and harassment of any kind. This is an inclusive environment and we are here to support and empower each other! Examples Include:

    • Intimidation

    • Disruption of Events

    • Intentionally Hurtful Language

    • Verbal or Physical Threats

    • Inappropriate Physical Contact

    • Unwanted sexual attention

  • We are a dog-friendly space, but we do have two "Golden Rules":

    1. Keep it Leashed: All dogs must stay on a leash at all times.

    2. Be a Good Human: Please be responsible for your pet’s behavior and clean up any messes. Thanks for being respectful of our space and our other visitors!

  • While this site is not fully ADA-compliant due to its natural terrain, we offer a range of options to support different levels of physical ability and comfort. To ensure everyone has the best experience possible, we will send a follow-up Google Form to all registered campers where you can share specific accessibility needs or request individualized accommodations.

  • By registering for and participating in the Queer Campout Weekend (May 15–18, 2026), hosted by Wander Free and Queer, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

    • Assumption of Risk: I understand that outdoor activities, including but not limited to camping, hiking, yoga, and traveling to/from the event, involve inherent risks (such as uneven terrain, weather changes, and contact with wildlife). I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

    • Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, and discharge Wander Free and Queer, its founders (Allie and Danella), agents, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, property damage, or loss arising out of or related to my participation in the event.

    • Personal Responsibility: I agree to abide by all camp rules, including the Substance-Free Policy, Pet Policy, and Leave No Trace principles. I understand that failure to follow these rules may result in being asked to leave the event without a refund.

  • Because we are a small, community-funded organization, we must commit to our vendors and campsite well in advance. For this reason, all sales are final and non-refundable.
